PPT in offsite meetings ? NO !

Shake Up Your Offsite by
Banning PowerPoint
PowerPoint is blamed for the ruination of many meetings. The offsite meeting may be at the top of that list. Offsites are long and when PowerPoint is involved it usually means hours of presentation after presentation. But offsites should be conversations, not monologues. Next time you're planning one, instead of asking leaders to present to the group, ask them to facilitate discussions about each other's business. Assign each leader an issue outside of his or her silo. Be clear that it's not a presentation, but that they can capture ideas with white boards and flip charts. With PowerPoint out of the way, you can focus on what the offsite is meant to do: help you solve
problems together.
