APRIL 5, 2012 Thu  A Temp Job Can Improve Your CV If You've Been Out of Work 79% of hiring managers say that if you've been out of work for an extended period, a contract or temporary job is a good thing to have on your CV when you apply for a permanent position, according to a CareerBuilder survey cited in a blog post on HBR.org. 61% of the managers say taking a course or re-enrolling in school improves your résumé too, and 60% say volunteering increases your marketability.
